Top Five Tips for Attending Bridal Shows
Are you someone that recently got engaged and just picked out your wedding date? Your wedding is a year and a half away, and you have no idea where to start. On top of that, you don’t know which wedding vendors to work with. Don’t be alarmed, there are many brides out there that are just like you. A great place to start getting ideas and meeting wedding vendors is by attending a bridal show. You will find below the top five tips when attending a bridal show.
1.Be Optimistic and Open-Minded
When you walk into a bridal show, you might feel overwhelmed by the amount of wedding vendors.
“Where do I start? Which way should I go? Should I stop at every booth?”
These are questions that may run through your head. Again, don’t worry! The best way to get the most out of a bridal show is doing research before. That way deciding which vendors to stop at is less overwhelming. Then when going to the show it helps having some type of game plan in place.
On the other hand, don’t be afraid to visit with other vendors you didn’t research. You might be surprised and find something you like better.
When you visit with vendors or sign up for a door prize, the vendor will ask you for contact information, a wedding date, and if there is anything you are specifically looking for. Instead of writing the information out every time, bring labels that have it. By doing this, you save time and can discuss your wedding with vendors.
3. Have a Conversation
When you are interested in working with a vendor, don’t be afraid to ask questions at the bridal fair. Don’t feel like you can only take information from the vendor. If you have pressing questions, ask them right away! (Then you won’t forget when you go home)
4. Make a Day of It
If you want to include family and friends, make a day of it while attending a bridal show. Not only can you attend the bridal show, check out if any vendors have their businesses open after the show. This way you can visit businesses with your family and friends.
5. Have Fun
Ultimately, remember to have fun. This is the time to get ideas and help you plan for your wedding, not make it stressful.
